resources we have
CRASH has collected several hundred books and games related to mental, relational, and sexual health that we are proud to lend to our local clients and collaborators. Some of the books below are listed in multiple categories, because we’re guessing you’ll browse based on interest, rather than scrolling through all 1000. It is no dewey decimal system, but there is some organization according to Kayla’s neurodivergent color-coding brain: kids, disability, gender, good sex, great sex, systems, mental health, professional, and special collection.
This collection has grown from a few places: new from small bookstores in Philadelphia and Kayla’s travels, pre-owned from thrift and used bookstores, and historical archives (not necessarily recommendations for best practice, just cool to reference for research and education as evidence of room for systemic growth), and gifts from our wish list ↓.
We always recommend thrifting for your wallet and the environment, but amazon is the most accessible way for you to get these resources on your own. Information about neurodiversity, mental, relational, and sexual health, intersectional identities, and inclusion is always evolving. Everything we have is aging, so we also have a wish list! CRASH clients and collaborators would benefit from having easy access to these resources. Feel free to contribute to the CRASH collection or just browse for your own library!
